I tried two techniques for bottle decorations. One dove is painted then slightly carved into, while the other is just carved with a needle tool. I think that doves and crows may do well with their textures carved because they don't have stark color differentiation in their feathers, like the wren. Hopefully I'll have enough pieces to fire a bisque load soon!
