Painted & Carved

I am gradually building a studio within my house, and therefore lack the array of glaze options I previously had access to. However, I think this will be a good thing. The situation has pushed me to attempt drawing on my pieces, which is something I have been wanting to do for a while, but haven't had the courage. These are paintings and carvings of a carolina wren and a crow, both abundant in my yard and neighboring fields. I referenced found photographs for these drawings. These pieces have yet to be fired.

  1. Beni, these are beautiful! Someday, I would love to see you try out some ducks. You could definitely sell any of these in the outer banks!
