Hospice Angels 2010



2010 Light Up A Life Fundraiser: Hospice Cabarrus Branch

200 white stoneware
200 brown stoneware

Similar to last year, they are wired with copper to attach a dinger and ribbon. 
It functions as a bell ornament.

Casserole Dish


This is a casserole dish made from a speckled brownstone clay.
It is oven safe. The interior is a satin white glaze. 
Exterior glaze is a multiple layer of pippen green which is matte.
When these two glazes are layered, the effect are shades of pink, purple and gray.

Carved Tree Mini Plates

5.25 inches in diameter


Right under 6 inches in diameter




Both plates are thrown with black stoneware purchased at Mud Slingers of Concord, NC
Glazed initially with Mediterranean Mist. Decided would rather use Antique iron, so washed off, but could not get it out of the carved grooves. That is the blue visible. The variety in the matt antique iron glaze gives the trees a mossy look. 
Trees were carved when leather hard
